Corpse Party: Tortured Souls is one of those series that makes you cringe but you still love it because it takes you on a well written story. It is a four episodes OVA but has a lot of potential to become an anime show. It has gore, if you like this kind of shows, but not too excesive.
The story follows the same story of PSP and PC game Corpse Party. A group of students make what they believed to be a friendship ritual. Moments later, they find out to be in the remains of previous elementary school building, were some unresolved child student murders were commited.
Some minor flashes of humor and fan service were present which were ok to regain a little bit the breath.
Signs of friendship are shown but not too much signs of logic. If you find yourself in a creepy, dark and abandoned building with the walls covered with blood, your best shot to stay alive is never be alone and go wherever if you feel like going to the bathroom.
The ghosts of the murdered students as well as other entities, roam around the school. They seek for blood and are trying to pull people towards death and despair.
But not everything is lost because there is a way to get out of the place.
I liked Corpse Party: Tortured Souls. The drawnings and design of the characters (specially the eyes) were my favorite. Watch it if you want to discover who survived in this hounted school.
