Tejina Senpai (Magical Sempai)

Tejina Senpai is the cute but weird magic-loving senpai main character of the show.

Tejina Senpai anime review

This is the story of Assistant-kun, a student who is looking for a school club to join and "accidentally" meets Tejina Senpai, the president and only member of the school's magic club. Although the meeting was very brief, Assistant-kun (his full name is never mentioned) is in a great hurry to join a club and has no choice but to belong to the magic club along with Senpai (he always refers to her with this honorific out of respect).

Actually, Assistant-kun tried other school clubs but either out of pity or because of the attraction he feels towards Senpai who always ends up helping her or being her assistant to perform magic tricks.

This is how this duo begins to bond. Tejina Senpai has trouble performing magic tricks (which always end badly) and has stage fright when performing in front of an audience.

Assistant Kun is more observant and even though he knows very little about magic, he tries to help Senpai with his magic tricks.

Later on we see Madara-san, the president of the science club (she's the only member too) and we see how Assistant-kun spends his free time between this club and the magic club. Then two siblings who don't seem like siblings join the magic club: Saki-chan and Masashi, who are more interested in street entertainment than in magic, but since they can't create their own club they have to join the magic club and take orders from Senpai.

Tejina Senpai anime review

As in all anime, you can't miss the episode on the beach, which is very funny.

Abracadabra Tejina Senpai!

Senpai's older sister is the homeroom teacher of the magic club as unbelievable as it may seem.

Tejina Senpai anime review

In short, the series is very funny with slight touches of Ecchi (Senpai is very attractive with a good body), but it is a very short series (only 12 episodes with approximately 12 minutes of duration).

The story is more or less repetitive but that is precisely the charm of this show. I recommend it if you are passionate about magic and want to learn a little bit about how to do tricks apart from having fun.
