Brief review of anime show Rooster Figther, a rooster, who fights demons in order to find the main villain who kidnapped his sister.
This is the story of Keiji, a rooster who is anything but ordinary. At first, we see him as a tough, solitary type who needs to be constantly on the move—unable to stay in one place for long—yet who enjoys the company of hens to satisfy his own mating urges.
Things get complicated when Keiji’s father and his half-brother (Keisuke) face off against demons even more powerful than the Kiju, known as Kijin. These beings apparently have the ability to transform any Kiju—whether good or evil—into creatures that are far stronger and filled with hatred toward humans.
Will our fighting rooster be able to defeat these beings and help Keisuke?
Personal comment:
Rooster Fighter (or Niwatori Fighter) has a pretty interesting story. At first, I thought the anime would be about a typical, run-of-the-mill fighting rooster, but it turned out to be—absurdly enough—a fighting rooster that battles demons.
The origins of the Kiju aren't entirely clear, other than the fact that they are people or animals harboring deep-seated resentment, longing, or hatred; ultimately, they are the bad guys (though some are good), but overall, the series is quite good.
