Spy Family

Spy Family follows a spy, an assassin, and a telepathic child who form a fake family into humorous and chaotic situations.

A skilled spy and master of disguise from Westalis named Twilight is given a mission that could be crucial to world peace (more specifically with Ostania), but to do so he will have to start a very complicated task: learning to be a father.

Spy Family

Under the alias of Loid Forger, Twilight must gather information from a prominent politician named Donovan Desmond, who only appears in public for parent-teacher meetings at his second son's school.

As a first step, he must devise a way to break into the school and get close to Mr. Desmond. So Loid's plan is to create a fake family with the series' protagonist: Anya, an orphan girl who has the ability to read people's minds (although she keeps this superpower a secret).

Also needing a wife for her school interview, Twilight crosses paths with a woman named Yor who might be the perfect cover for his mission. However, she's not very good at cooking and has her own secrets: she's trained and worked undercover as an assassin since she was a child.

To prepare for the interview, Loid, Yor, and Anya set out to spend a day in the city, visiting various places to prepare themselves to sell the image of being a normal, upper-class family.

The Forger family heads to Eden School for the interview, where various challenges spice things up, along with the interview itself.

After Anya is accepted into the school, we gradually see Loid's efforts to fulfill his mission. As a reward for Anya's good grades, they manage to adopt a dog (which was trained for terrorism), thus welcoming a new member to the family: Bond, their new pet.

Spy Family

In short, Spy Family is a very entertaining anime where each character has their own secret ability that no one else knows, but somehow they've managed to coexist and stay together. The main character is Anya, but I'd like to see more of Yor, who, in my opinion, isn't given much attention in the first season of the show.
